Satellite radio in a convertible? Antenna options?
I was considering investing in satellite radio to Sirius my car, but after research, it seems that there is an external antenna to be mounted outside the car. Most documents I have read recommends mounting the magnetic antenna on the roof of the car, but I have a convertible, and be completely honest, I really do not want an unsightly piece of equipment outside of my car. Is there another option other than the external antenna? Perhaps something connects to (or replacing) my existing AM / FM radio antenna? Thank you for the suggestion, but I'd rather not put him on the scoreboard either. I do not think would look very good there.
There is no way to prevent the use of the Sirius antenna that comes with it. It there are ways to improve the reception that involves using an FM direct adapter, but again, you should always use the included Sirius antenna. The Sirius needs a clear view of the sky. If it be outside the vehicle is not an option because it a convertible and having the interior is not an option because of the appearance and I think you may be out of luck.
